HOLIDAY LOOKBOOK: PASTELS IN AFRICA

My first look of the holiday! This coat has been one of my ultimate favourite buys; not only this season, but even of all the coats I have ever bought. The cut, colour, texture and material is so beautiful, light enough for a typical spring day. Zara got it just right this season with all their outerwear. As pastels were the hottest look, I was in my element and was spoilt for choice when looking for a spring coat! This one was such sophistication that it was well worth the £90 I spent for the amount of wear it has had so far. I haven't had chance to feature it in outfit posts as the weather at home decided to be hot for once. It is winter here in South Africa - but its not like the winter I know. Their weather is like British weather on drugs; bipolar is a massive understatement. Today I was lucky, as the temperature was around 16C with strong sunshine (pretty much a British summer!), which meant I had the opportunity to shoot this look. Before I flew I also had one more shopping trip where I picked up some pretty anklets for £2.50 - I couldn't resist! The gems and jewels in bright summer colours look gorgeous with a tan - I desperately need to top up before my next post! I also sport one of my favourite pairs of trousers - obviously black is extremely flattering, plus they are slightly elasticated and stretchy which makes them incredibly soft and comfy, with the higher waistline elongating my little legs.

Coat - Zara
Lilac crop top - Missguided
Black Trousers & Anklets - Miss Selfridge
Choker - Vintage
Necklace - Tiffany&Co
Heels - Steve Madden
