HOLIDAY LOOKBOOK: RETURN OF THE STRIPE

The post of many locations! While exploring the grounds of the hotel I discovered so many places with the soft flattering lighting for shoots that I had to try and fit them all in during my stay here. The best of all my finds by far was the curtained glass box featured in this post, which doubles as both a beautiful function room for weddings and also a massage parlour. It's platform out on the rocks offers the most stunning view of the surrounding bay - serving as a dramatic background for this look.

HOLIDAY LOOKBOOK: PORTUGUESE PARADISE

If you haven't already noticed, my blog has had a makeover! I felt it was time for change - my old theme was looking tired and I needed to take a professional tack for my posts. Thank you to Pipdig for my fabulous new theme, which I have obviously added my personal touches to from the basic outline. I would highly recommend their quick and easy service for reasonably priced blog themes for both blogger and WordPress platforms.

HOLIDAY LOOKBOOK: ON TOP OF THE WORLD

Finally I can post the first look in my holiday lookbook. A trip I've been waiting for and fantasising about, we arrived yesterday at this little heavenly corner of Lisbon; the Farol Design hotel in Cascais, Portugal.

IN A MILITARY FASHION

It's not often that I find a relatively figure hugging dress that I'm keen on; but this shirt dress combines my love for a skater skirt and a collared neckline. As mentioned previously I have been adding khaki accents to my wardrobe recently as it's a popular colour in the shops for the season, and this piece is something simple that can be thrown on in warm weather when you're struggling for outfit ideas.

LILAC LADY

Strangely, I am loving this look! It's probably down to the excess amount of gorgeous pastel colour, this time lilac. Maybe it's also because both lilac items were bargains, you'd never guess, from Primark!

MONOCHROME SERIES: VERTICLE STRIPES ARE SLIMMING

A post returning to my monochrome series... I'm definitely obsessing over summer striped pieces at the moment, but this one really took the top spot in the stripy rankings.
