DUSTY PINK

It's hard to believe another week has passed and it's already Sunday again. It's a worrying reminder that the weeks are flying by - pretty soon graduation will be looming and future plans will be launched into action. 3 whole years at university have absolutely flown by without my notice; those who told me uni would be the hardest years of my life weren't doing what made them happy. For me uni has been the epitome of the phrase 'time flies when you're having fun'. Student life might not be as luxurious as we'd like, but it's the freedom to do as you choose without the entirety of responsibility that comes with having to adult in the real world. I'm not looking forward to that part, so I'm savouring every last minute I have left of student life!

My little bit of luxury comes with the clothes I choose to buy. They're not by any means the most designer or most expensive, but half the battle is styling and carrying off an outfit as though it were just that. Take this duster coat for example - it's everything I could possibly want from a piece of outerwear. The dusty shade of pink works perfectly with a winter palette of black, grey, burgundy and of course as this outfit proves, other pinks. (Loving the fact that rose quartz is a pantone shade of 2016, there's no need for excuses this year!) I hadn't actively planned to post this look for Valentines Day, but because of the colour scheme it's coincidently appropriate for the day. The coat's length is super slimming for my size and shape and thanks to the cut and colour I know it'll be on trend for years to come. Another trick to styling a designer-esque look is to mix and match with expensive key pieces. Enter my dreamy Michael Kors handbag - the staple accessory for all seasons. I went for a shape which isn't too dissimilar to Dior, with silver fastenings for another timeless touch. Match this with my simple leather studded skirt and grey roll neck, et voilĂ !

Shop the look:
Coat & grey roll neck - Miss Selfridge
Skirt - River Island
Heels - Nine West
Handbag - Michael Kors
Heart Pom Pom (similar) - Helen Moore England
Lipstick - MAC in shades Angel & The Right Note

Thinking in all shades of pink,
