L'HIVER BLANC

There's something particularly sophisticated about wearing an all-white ensemble. My gorgeous regular appearance, the white wrap coat, completely makes this look. A little sparkle is never unwelcome in my wardrobe and when in combination with the softest fur on the planet, this headband had to be worn for a look in a snowy landscape. There is such a variety of winter headwear in the shops at the moment, the gemstones add a little individuality and make more of a statement to your typical furry hair accessory. The two snowy white items work so well together; the winter offerings of Miss Selfridge this season have been so beautiful. I have been extremely lucky this Christmas holiday and have gained lots of new pairs of shoes (obviously of the heeled kind), whether these are Christmas presents or sale purchases. They will be worn and showcased over my next few posts. Today's boots are extremely high and elegant and give me another option to my usual go-to wedges for everyday wear - the slender heel also lengthens my little legs so I feel normal height.

A few of these shots have unfortunately come out a little grainy, but this is a sacrifice of having soft sunset light on my face and trying to create a slightly warming effect in an otherwise freezing scene!

THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR....

Much like millions of people, Christmas is an incredibly exciting time for both myself and my family. This is why I have been MIA over the past few weeks as I have been so busy with festive celebrations and catching up with friends and family at home. The task of squeezing everything in over the holidays in such a short space of time is a hard one, but it's all worth it. These few weeks are
what I have been looking forward to over the past four months of intense uni work; it's definitely the best reward! We were lucky enough to enjoy a white Christmas, as it snowed heavily on Boxing Day. It was magical.

So, today's look. Both the boots and coat are December sale purchases. Shoes and coats have become pieces I obsessively collect and many would probably say I have too many, but obviously, a girl can never have too many shoes (or coats)! Although I may be a little late on the band wagon concerning the knee-high black boot trend, I was searching for a pair which were both comfortable and fitted nicely - these more than fit the bill! The zip detailing is both unusual and stylish and the leather is super soft. Good things come to those who wait - I would always recommend waiting for your ideal item when a trend becomes popular. It just gives time for it to settle in and stores to start producing a larger variety of styles. The silky black fur headband was bought just before Christmas and was particularly useful when exploring a chilled Barcelona. An icy setting was imperative for today's look with all the fur involved, and this requirement was pretty simple to come across after such widespread snowfall over the weekend!

WINTER WONDERLAND

I'm back again! After a long and intense break from blogging whilst uni took an almighty hold I can finally get back into the routine. It's been ridiculously cold since my last outfit post, which can only mean more layers. Lots more chunky knitwear and fur covering every inch of me to avoid the biting cold was a priority yesterday when I took a trip to winter wonderland with the girls. Every form of winter accessory was needed, but a Christmassy adventure wouldn't be complete without a Christmassy jumper - this is my take on the classic which I received as a present last year, made even better thanks to the cat face and the pink! As this was the centre piece, pink became the central colour of the look (surprise surprise), with some cream fluffy accents and of course my pom pom had to be included despite it being blue. But most importantly, my new fluffy skirt! I have tried all manner of fluffy edged pieces on the high street, but had so far failed to find the perfect one that suited; I finally spotted this one and with a 50% discount offer it was impossible to resist. It is a lovely material and is a slimming, softening fit with a concealed zip. It certainly kept me warm whilst wandering through a magical Hyde Park yesterday! We had a fabulous girly festive day out, filled with food (too much), hot chocolate and fun! (Oh no, my inner Christmas elf is coming out for the season) - I would definitely recommend a trip to Winter Wonderland to get you in the Christmas spirit!

Apologies for the grainy or dark look to some of these shots, the street was in shadow at the time that we shot it, but I just had to have the pink background for this look so some quality was compromised. More winter looks are finally on their way, especially when I return home for the holidays next week!
