Cheltenham Racecourse are holding their annual event for Ladies Day this year on the 11th March 2015. I was invited to the event as part of the #ColourmeMarch competition, which was extremely exciting! Although I am unable to attend due to deadlines and a hectic uni schedule (sigh), here's what I would have been wearing...
I seem to be completely obsessed with pink in blog posts recently. I can only post sporadicly for special occasions, which clearly means bringing out the best of me; in the form of pink. The races, especially Ladies Day, should always be the height of femininity and sophistication, which called for this pink midi skirt and jacket combo for the event. I bought the jacket in the ASOS sale just before Christmas in advance for summer - the floral print grabbed me because it didn't cover the entire jacket, meaning that it was more versatile when putting together looks with the white sleeves and back. With the slight hint of sunnier weather this week, (hence my element of wishful thinking aka sunglasses), it's also the first chance for my favourite strappy pink heel purchase from last year to reappear. I kept it extremely simple with the accessories with this statement gold clutch and two midi rings, as well as more natural makeup with a pop of pink lipstick. This was all tied in with a bright pink nail varnish on both my fingers and toes. A bit too much pink loving? I think not. There's a wrong and a right way to do an overload of colour, and by breaking it up with this white cropped top and the black waistband it's not too overwhelming. I don't think anyway!
Jacket - River Island via ASOS

Heels - Dolce & Gabbana

This is such a gorgeous outfit. Very sophisticated and just the right amount of pink. It's such a shame you can't go as you would have looked amazing!
