Like most trousers, cigarette pants are different for every woman. You have to find that perfect pair. Incidentally, they were always something I had to search for. For me they're either too tight, too loose, too long.. and after a few failed attempts, buying online was out of the question! But when ASOS had a crazy moment with 25% off everything, I found these and couldn't resist trying one last time. It paid off! ASOS have the clever option of choosing the length of the trousers, so I could select a shorter pair to ensure they fitted me. There's a perfect amount of room without feeling like Hareem pants and they fit well enough to stay around my waist. The outfit taps into Saint Laurent's 'le smoking' iconic look, but without the blazer and with a personal twist. This relaxed, stripped back yet smart version can be worn in a casual setting without looking like you're waiting for an imminent meeting. Although admittedly it is not something I would go for as everyday wear, it is definitely a good option for an evening meal or drinks with the girls. The addition of sunglasses was appropriate as this is my final LFW look; everyone hides behind a pair of lenses!
