THINKING PINK

Today's look is easy and simple. Something for those days when its cold and wet and being cosy yet stylish is the priority. When you just want something to throw on! Yes, heels are involved but they always will be where I'm concerned, although it could very easily be worn with flats. Knitwear is always popular for winter, so when I saw this pink knit I knew it had to be mine - looser and longer is really flattering, and this jumper can be worn casually or made more glamourous with statement jewellery. My pink bag is making a final return before going back in its box for winter, its been one of my best summer buys! I am now on the hunt for another winter handbag which will most likely be black, but I remain undecided! Heels and socks were a trend I had never really accessed unless with my favourite wedged boots, but today these new sandals needed a bit of a wintery edge - I absolutely adore my furry trimmed socks during winter!

THE WINDY CITY

Although this look was shot around 30 minutes after the look in my previous post, mother nature suddenly decided to send relentless torrents of wind my way; which does absolute wonders for my hair, especially with a fringe (not.) I might as well have been Calamity Jane in Chicago, singing her infamous song. It may be mighty pretty but a 'strong breeze' is not helpful when a fresh coat of lip gloss has been applied and you're trying to look mildly presentable!

Moaning aside, after a few hair and face disasters I got my act together and Serah could actually shoot the look! My turquoise coat has risen from the wardrobe once more, this time to be combined with every blue in the colour spectrum. My handbag was a summer bargain which I actually haven't had chance to make proper use of, but is a perfect autumn-winter transitional accessory which I will be taking out more often! Winter florals are popular for the colder season, so this top is ideal for styling with darker colours and adding a bit of brightness. Jeans are always best in this kind of weather, when you don't fancy your skirt gaining a mind of its own and revealing your favourite knickers to the world. These are especially warm and form-fitting, also allowing me to show off yet another pair of winter heels - the cleated wedge is definitely this season's ideal choice; a bit of grip is vital with wind and rain being forever on the forecast.

Look at the concentration in that face! Wind clearly removes all integrity.

BISOU XO

Today I stumbled upon my perfect blog setting. Whilst searching for a quiet road to shoot this look with Serah (yes my awesome photographer is back on top form!), pastel hues caught the corner of my eye - there was an entire street filled with pretty ice cream houses - a heavenly collection of buildings which I have to return to soon! As the weather is getting colder I can finally start wearing my favourite coats from a slowly increasing collection. This pink one was featured in my first ever blog post (see here) and as is one of my most worn. Its so wearable and also breathable, making it ideal for mild rainy days (obviously with an umbrella, which for me is also pink). My next three posts also feature three previously unseen pairs of heels; I can't wait to start revealing my winter shoes. I fell in love with this top when I saw it, as it combines two of my favourite girly things - lace and pink! When I posted a preview of this look on Instagram I had intended to plait my hair, but the weather and the state of my hair meant that I quickly took it out and settled with my usual style. Hopefully I'll be able to make my hair more exciting next time!

SCHOOL GIRL CHIC

Subconsciously channelling my inner studious self, today's look unintentionally looks like a school uniform. I hope my take on it with the addition of a tailored jacket and heels adds a little more class. Tartan/checked skirts are obviously back on trend for winter, although they never really go out for me! Its definitely an easy print that adds texture and interest for the colder weather when you're tempted to go with the easy option and wear all black. The pop of colour from both my jacket and lipstick is also great to brighten up the outfit, when the weather continues to be so indecisive! This shirt was a purchase from another crazy shopping spree over the weekend, (I love using fashion blogging as my excuse) the neck tie is something completely different and makes the shirt more interesting! Details always make a massive difference to a garment, which is why the ribbon and buttons make this shirt extra special. The wedges finally featured in this post are my everyday shoes, sounds crazy I know but they're my most comfortable piece of footwear and they add a good amount of height!

Due to illness, my new photographer Serah was temporarily unavailable to take this shoot today, so my housemate kindly stepped in. This unfortunately meant that the fabulous clarity in the pictures like my past three posts was lost as my own SLR was used, although the shots themselves captured exactly what I was looking for. I do love my camera and I would be lost without it, but I've also fallen in love with how amazing the shots in my past few posts were.
