Winter. We're right in the middle of it, experiencing everything mother nature is capable of: air gets fiercer, face gets paler, skin gets drier, feet get colder, days get shorter.

RETURN TO PINK

Finding different and interesting places to shoot can have its advantages and disadvantages. This time it brought about a funny story, and a chance to show the authenticity of the fashion blogger. Whilst preparing to pose with this pebbledash wall as my backdrop, a local man passed by, questioning whether I was wearing anything under my coat; I replied with the obvious, although he was intent on giving posing advice, leaning against the wall with his eyelashes fluttering. He was unaware of what I was actually doing, which then gave me the chance to explain! He might not have been particularly interested, but he was intrigued in the concept. It gave us a good laugh and definitely had to be retold. 

The outfit - yet another pink ensemble, highlighting a recent purchase which I adored upon first sight. The zip detailing, A-line cut and short hemline of this skirt give it a 60's inspired look, something which I can experiment with many pieces in my wardrobe; combined with the subtle pocket detailing, the beauty is in the details. Grey is another highly circulated colour out there this winter, creating a softened tone when paired with pink. Concerning footwear, re-finding pairs of shoes in my wardrobe which have been so obviously staring at me everyday on their rack is helpful when adding variety to my posts. These killer leather heels elongate and add elegance; probably why they have been worn more and more recently...

CLASHING COORDINATION

Although it's a well documented trend, I'm not normally someone to experiment with multiple prints, let alone when they should clash in any other circumstance.

AQUAMARINE

After lusting over a navy fur coat before Christmas that was way too expensive for a student budget, I grabbed this bargain lighter version in the January sales this week, reduced from £70-£30!

WINTER FLORALS

A little bit of wishful thinking with some pastel colour and florals ready for Spring time with this look, except with no seasonal change in sight I added my white wrap coat as an extra layer.
