CROCHET DETAIL

The past week has been possibly one of the most important and most stressful in my life so far. I have been working on my Final Major Project at uni, which ended with sending my magazine to print on Friday. I will be able to share and showcase my work once it is back and has been marked, but for now I can say that I am extremely proud of the amount of work I have done and of the high standard it has been completed to. I still have a couple of weeks before my official deadline, which means an agonising waiting game before the finished product returns from the printers.

BOOHOO SPRING SUEDE

The first signs of spring are starting to bloom and that can only mean one thing: pastels and lighter colours will begin to be unleashed from my wardrobe. Summer is slowly on it's way and I'm excited! Shooting this look taught me that as much as I thought I was, I am definitely not prepared for this Springy eventuality in terms of outerwear. This is why my trusty pink coat steps up to the plate once again, to really make the most of this dress. I will have to rectify the situation soon, when I have enough funds to purchase yet another wonderful coat or jacket. 

DOUBLE CREAM

The sunlight once again makes all the difference with these shots. It was such a beautiful day and I'm glad we managed to capture it in time between fleeting moments of cloud.

MAGNOLIA HAZE

Magnolias are one of my mum's favourite garden flowers. When I came across this tree in a garden in South Kensington, I couldn't help but immediately think of her. Happily with a combination of the colours and the lighting, a warm haze has covered some of the pictures. It therefore seems particularly fitting on this fine mother's day that I would do a post in honour the most important woman in my life. Happy Mother's Day mum! 

NEW SUEDE SKIRT

February is an exciting month for fashion, with both New York and London shows already over, in the excitement of such a fast paced industry next winter's trends are well on their way to being revealed. It was exciting to delve into the collections, drooling over the sumptuous furs and endless amounts of layering. When I first started actively involving myself in the furore of fashion week, whether this was interning at shows or simply viewing them online and writing reviews, it could be pretty intimidating. There seemed to be never ending streams of information feeding onto websites and trying to keep current and on track can be difficult. But once you actually get hold of things and grasp which pieces will stand the test of time rather than picks of the moment, this is where you can find the long lasting content. 

GREY DAY

This was a look I'd had planned to shoot way back in the far away land of 2015. As much as I have a growing amount of grey garments in my wardrobe, it's surprisingly difficult to match different shades. Particularly with this pair of flares, which are the ideal combination of smart-casual. I was inspired to buy them after my love for my striped wide leg trousers only continued to grow, as I wanted more colours for other occasions.

DUSTY PINK

It's hard to believe another week has passed and it's already Sunday again. It's a worrying reminder that the weeks are flying by - pretty soon graduation will be looming and future plans will be launched into action. 3 whole years at university have absolutely flown by without my notice; those who told me uni would be the hardest years of my life weren't doing what made them happy. For me uni has been the epitome of the phrase 'time flies when you're having fun'. Student life might not be as luxurious as we'd like, but it's the freedom to do as you choose without the entirety of responsibility that comes with having to adult in the real world. I'm not looking forward to that part, so I'm savouring every last minute I have left of student life!

SIXTIES TWIST

Happy Pancake day! So many temptations at this time of year before the dedication of Lent begins; but it's the perfect opportunity to jolt into action. Restraining myself enough to not obliterate the health kick will be difficult, but treat day is what keeps me motivated until the weekend and luckily my cravings are satisfied earlier this week! I'm a sugar and lemon kind of girl personally, but wouldn't say no to chocolate either. Any form of chocolate really... I know I'm not alone!
